Cavan and Monaghan have the lowest 14-day incidence rates of covid-19.
Based on confirmed PCR cases in the two-week period leading up to the 12th of July, Monaghan had the lowest incidence rate, at 378 per 100,000 population.
There were 232 confirmed PCR cases in the county over this two-week reporting period.
Meanwhile, Cavan had the second lowest incidence rate nationally, but is significantly higher than Co Monaghan, at a rate of 478.
Cavan has recorded 364 confirmed PCR cases in the two-week period up to the 12th of July.
Laois has the highest incidence rate, at 785.
Elsewhere, there's been a slight drop in the number of covid-positive patients in Cavan General Hospital, with the figure standing at 33 as of 8pm last night, one of whom is ICU.
