High uptake for breast check screening is being reported by the HSE across Cavan and Monaghan.
Figures for the first five months of last year showed a significant difference between counties across the country.
Uptake in the national breast check screening programme shows Monaghan the highest in the country along with Galway at 94 percent.
Cavan had the next highest figure of women to avail of breast screening at 92 percent.
Breast Check said despite some women choosing not to accept their screening invitation, it has maintained the national target of more than 70 percent.
Westmeath recorded the lowest level of up uptake at 53 percent, well below the national average target.
