Gardaí in Carrickmacross are advising motorists to be "vigilant" due to a fire close to the N2. According to Gardaí the fire took place on a farm in the Tullyvaragh area.
Smoke is now bellowing onto the N2 due to winds with Gardaí warning motorists to be cautious when travelling on this stretch of road.
