The Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council says the local authority’s involvement in the Mother and Baby Homes makes for ‘grim reading’.

Councillor Sarah O’Reilly issued a formal apology on behalf of the council at this month’s meeting, stating that these girls and women were ‘failed by the state’.
