A Castleblayney man is taking on one of Ireland's most difficult cycling challenges today to raise awareness of the importance of Organ Donation.
Martin Malinowski, who was Ireland's first combined liver and heart transplant recipient, will be cycling the Ring of Kerry today to raise money for the Irish Kidney Association
Martin has credited cycling with keeping him healthy and aiding his recovery from the major surgery. Speaking to Northern Sound, he says that organ donation ultimately saved his life, and is encouraging people to have that conversation about their wishes.
