People in Castleblayney will be able to pay their respects to frontline workers and local residents who lost their lives during the pandemic in a parade taking place today.
Local fire crews, Gardaí, ambulance and other emergency and security services will take part in a parade through Castleblayney this morning to mark national frontline services day.
There will also be a private wreath laying in recognition of all those who have died throughout the covid-19 pandemic.
Liam Stewart is the Communications Officer for the region with the National Ambulance Service.
He said the parade will be passing through local housing estates, so that people can take part without travelling.
