The now - annual outdoor Castleblayney carol service is to take place this Sunday.
And, as you may have come to expect by now, the good people of Castleblayney have decorated their homes on the green around Old Coach Manor to create a winter wonderland.
On the evening, they will also light fires on the green to keep neighbours and friends warm.
The brass band, who have been running this event for the past 10 years, will be joined by the Mucknos Singers' junior and senior choirs, and after the musical entertainment, Santa himself will make an appearance with plenty of goodies for all the boys and girls.
The free event, which kicks off at 6 o'clock this Sunday, 17th Dercember, also raises money for the local Saint Vincent DePaul.
Bernie O'Connor leads the local brass band.
He said, the outdoor service has got better and better every year and, while he hopes the music gets everyone into the spirit of Christmas, the fires and stunning decorations is what makes this outdoor carol service so magical.
