Students from the Fermanagh School of Music and Performing Arts group will take to the stage once again this week with their musical production of 'Legally Blonde'. It will be a case of lights, camera and action for the cast and crew this evening as final preparations get underway for tonight's opening performance in the Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Newtownbutler's Katie Chapman said she is "over the moon" to play the lead character of 'Elle Woods' something that she described as her "dream role."
This will be the second musical in less than one week for the Fermanagh School of Music and Performing Arts group, following on from the success of their production 'We Will Rock You' which ended on Sunday night.
Speaking in relation to directing two musicals back to back, Ciara O'Flanagan who is also the founder of Fermanagh School of Music and Performing Arts believes it was "important" to offer a variety for all students, regardless of their age or background.
As a group, she believes it is imperative to always offer "support" and "inclusivity" to young people in order for them to reach their fullest potential.
"To us it's very important that our students mix and are there to support each other," she explained. "In Fermanagh it's great to have inclusivity and it means that nobody should feel that they cannot come and join us and be part of our performances. We're very open to any background, age, or gender, it doesn't matter."
Ciara also praised the work of her "fantastic" team, adding that performances of this scale "don't happen with just one person" but are the result of what can happen when "everyone works together."
The cast of 'Legally Blonde' will take to the stage from tonight, August 9th until August 15th at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen. Tickets are still available and can be purchased via the theatre's website.
