A Public Health Expert says it’s possible that some cases of Covid-19 being transmitted across the border “could slip the net”.
In recent days GPs in County Monaghan have raised concern about a lack of co-operation between the HSE and NHS when it comes to tracing the spread of Covid-19.
The HSE says there is regular contact between it and health officials in Northern Ireland, and that both bodies work to control the virus.
Dr Mary Ward, a Specialist in Public Health Medicine at the Dr Steeven’s Hospital in Dublin says she isn’t aware of any specific issues in communications, but there’s a need for personal responsibility.
