The Carrickmacross Toy Library is set to benefit from over €1,000 in "Circular Economy" funding.
The Community Foundation for Ireland and EPA backed grants encouraging communities to look at ways of cutting down waste by giving goods and products a new life.
A significant proportion of toys can't easily be recycled, and many end up in landfills.
Carrickmacross Toy Library tackles this by operating like a regular library, in providing families and caregivers of children up to six with access to high-quality, durable toys that are sustainably sourced.
A total of €1,239 is headed to the toy library under the Circular Economy funding and it comes on the back of a recent Rethink Ireland grant of €1,240.
