One man has been arrested and charged in relation to damage caused to flower displays on the main street in Carrickmacross.
In recent days a man was arrested near the scene of where flowers were pulled out pots and thrown on the ground.
He was charged and appeared in court on Friday.
Gerry Hand from Carrickmacross Tidy Towns says it's particularly disheartening but the committee won't be a deterrent to the work they do all year round in the popular County Monaghan town.
Carrickmacross has been taking part in the national tidy towns group since 1986.
Gerry says it's a crime against the community.
