Carrickmacross most expensive town in Monaghan for property

Carrickmacross is the most expensive town in Monaghan to buy a property in according to new figures.

According to the Sunday Independent the average price of a three bed semi-detached house in the town is €250,000.

This compares to €245,000 in Monaghan Town and €230,000 in Castleblayney.

The average price of a two bed apartment in Carrickmacross is between twenty to thirty thousand euro more expensive than Monaghan Town and Castleblayney respectively.

It comes as property prices and demand for housing continue to rise across the region.
