The Carrickmacross Lions Club will host a Garden Fete and Picnic at Lough Fea House this Sunday (July 24th) in aid of the Alzheimer's bus and local needs.
The event will take place between 11am and 4pm.
While the Alzheimer's bus service came to a halt due to Covid, members of the Carrickmacross Lions Club are hoping to get things up and running once again through donations raised as a result of the event.
Locals will be treated to a fun-filled day of arts, crafts, food, and live entertainment, with the return of the popular Vintage Tractor Run in the afternoon.
President of the Carrickmacross Lions Club, Paddy Gollogly says the Alzheimer’s bus service helps alleviate pressures felt by those who care for a family member at home.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Paddy revealed that all donations will go towards giving carers a well-deserved rest as the patient will be picked up to spend the day at the Social Centre in Carrickmacross.
Tickets for the event are €10 and can be purchased online via Eventbrite.
