The long awaited Group Home in Carrickmacross is expected to open next year.
The families of potential service users have been notified by the HSE that funding has been made available.
The facility for people with physical and sensory disabilities got the green light for construction in 2006 and was finished in 2017, but due to a number of issues in relation to funding and snag lists, it still remains closed.

The HSE has said numerous times previously that the centre would be opening, most recently last year when it was expected to be operational before the end of 2019.
