Carrickmacross gardaí are investigating two further thefts of telephone cable.
The incidents occurred in the townlands of Annamarran and Leege, off the N2 and heading in the Ardee direction.
It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.
There has been a spate of similar thefts recently, and local gardaí say the robberies have left some people cut off from phone and internet services for up to 3 days.
Older rural dwellers are particularly vulnerable, as they're cut off from emergency services, medical alarm services and other supports.
Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to make contact with Carrickmacross garda station.
