A Carrickmacross Councillor says funding towards a new Enterprise and co-working hub in the town will generate up to 40 new jobs.
Close to €7 million has been announced for four major projects across the Northern Sound region, €3.1 million of which is going towards the long awaited CTek II in Carrickmacross.
Funding of €1.4 million has also been allocated to converting the former council offices and Court House in Newbliss into a digital and enterprise hub.
Elsewhere, €1.4 million will go towards converting the Bailieborough Court House into Ireland's first plantation museum, with almost €800,000 going to the renovation of the Ballyconnell Market House into a community, remote working and tourism hub.
