Cllr Carmel Brady has been ratified by the national executive of Fine Gael tonight to contest the upcoming General Election.
The ticket for Fine Gael in Cavan and Monaghan is now complete.
It follows two candidates being selected at the Fine Gael convention last night.
Cllr Brady received 1,728 votes after transfers on the fourth count in the Bailieborough-Cootehill LEA, exceeding the quota of 1,716 back in June of this year.
Party members selected Cllrs Maxwell and O’Reilly at a convention last night in Hotel Kilmore, Dublin Road, Cavan which was chaired by Minister Helen McEntee.
Fine Gael have now chosen 77 General Election candidates in 43 constituencies. Cavan Monaghan was the final party selection convention.
