A local business owner has slammed the Government's decision to raise the Carbon Tax.
Levies on fossil fuels including petrol, diesel, and solid fuels are all due to rise following Budget 2025. On average, motorists can expect to say €1.28 more on 60 litres of petrol and €1.48 more on Diesel.
While the price of solid fuels will rise by €7.50 per tonne of Co2 produced. Owner of North Pole Fuels in Cavan, Tommy Sheehan, has slammed the increases saying it will have wide ranging implications.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, he says that increasing fuel prices will cause a chain reaction for the average consumer.
