The Ballyhaise hinterland needs and deserves a doctor, according to local councillor Stiofán Conaty. The Sinn Fein Councillor said previously the Ballyhaise Health Centre should be used by doctors to provide a local GP service again.
The HSE are currently using the rooms at the centre for administrative purposes but Cavan County Councillor Stiofán Conaty says a doctor should be able to operate from the premises so locals can have their own GP.
At present, Ballyhaise patients have to travel to Cavan or another town to see a doctor. He said this isnt good enough and he intends to raise this issue further.
