A local TD has called for the establishment of a Jigsaw Outreach facility to be set up across the region.
Fianna Fail TD, Deputy Niamh Smyth wants to see the youth mental health support organisation being established across Cavan and Monaghan.
Deputy Smyth has called on the free mental health support organisation to be set up locally to benefit the younger members of our region. She believes the area needs the youth support organisation locally and also deserves one too.
Jigsaw is in operation right across Ireland offering community-based programs aimed at better informing, supporting, educating, and empowering young people and those around them.
In 2022 Jigsaw offered over 36,000 appointments to young people, the highest number in a given year. Deputy Niamh Smyth has raised the issue with the mental health minister Mary Butler in recent weeks.
