Councillor Treanor's motion was supported by other council members.
However, both Councillors Sean Gilliland and Richard Truell stressed that their agreement was solely in relation to the current situation and should not see the HSE supporting the NHS.
Councillor Treanor said the current system was dangerous, but he was also critical of the issue being politicised by others:
