Calls for Ulster Council to play its part in upgrading St Tiarnach's facilities

'I would like to think that the Ulster Council still have Clones in mind and flood flights will come on stream in the not too distant future, as the facility is missing out on night time games and therefore footfall in the town is diminishing as a result'

Members of the Ballybay-Clones MD 'welcomed' the progression of developments on St Tiarnach's Plaza at a recent meeting.

While plans to enhance the surrounding areas of St Tiarnach's park are underway due to efforts made by the local authority, Cllr Richard Truell claims it is now time for the Ulster Council to step-up and play their part.

According to Cllr Truell, members of the local authority are 'doing their bit' to make the facility more amenable to people, and that he hopes the Ulster Council, Croke Park and Monaghan GAA will follow suit.
