Speeding motorists were once again to the fore as Monaghan councillors gathered a this week's meeting of the local authority.
Cllr Raymond Aughey said that speeding is evident in every village across the county.
Speaking to Northern Sound he highlighted how motorists need to "grow up" and take responsibility for themselves and the vehicle they are driving.

He added that ramps in villages are required but because the TII is against the move, it is proving difficult to have them installed.
