There are calls for more disability car parking spaces in Cavan town.
At a recent MD meeting, Fine Gael Councillor Peter McVitty raised the issue of a lack of accessible spaces near the Connolly Street Primary Care Centre in the town.
There are currently no suitable spaces either at the centre or the nearby opticians.
He says the set-down spaces aren't adequate, but he's received confirmation that the issue will be examined.
Representatives of the Cavan Disability Network are welcoming the news, highlighting that it isn't a problem specific to Cavan town.
Bridget Boyle says accessible car parking is at "a premium", and there's widespread shortages.
She told The Wider View that combined with people using them incorrectly, it can cause great distress to people with disabilities.
