Calls for more communication from government during power outages

A Co Cavan man has called for more communication for the people that have been left without power for 13 days now.

Niall Birdy who lives near Bailieboro says no one has called to his door or reached out to him or to his neighbours over the outage period to date.

He has described the situation that he and many people still find themselves in the region as a crisis. He pointed out that more needs to be done by the government in response to thousands that find themselves in this position. Niall says at the moment he is looking at early next week at best before power will be restored.
