A Monaghan councillor says suitable properties across local towns and villages, should be made available to accommodate Ukrainian refugees arriving in the county.
Seamus Coyle insists that Monaghan County Council must identify suitable properties in their ownership, property portfolio or any properties in public ownership that could be made adaptable to live in.
Councillor Coyle condemns the Russian Communist Regime and made calls for Russia to immediately withdraw its forces from Ukraine at a recent Ballybay-Clones Municipal District meeting.
He describes scenes from Ukraine as shocking and upsetting but commends the Irish Government and other agencies who are working with the Ukrainian people.
