IBEC says there needs to be more of a focus on reversing underinvestment in counties like Cavan and Monaghan.
The business group says the local counties are among the most impacted by Brexit, while also lacking the telecommunications infrastructure to attract businesses in.
It says projects like the N2/A5 road upgrade must go ahead as well as the 'revitalisation' of towns like Cavan and Monaghan.
IBEC says this would improve the region's attractiveness to outside business while also allowing the counties "to innovate, adapt and be creative in responding to external threats".
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound today, Aidan Sweeney from IBEC said there are a number of things the organisation wants done:
