A reduced speed limit could be introduced and an increased Garda presence can be expected in the Bragan area in the coming weeks.
Over the last number of months local community groups, and residents who walk the area have noticed an increase of dumping, litter, and anti-social behaviour.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Raymond Aughey met with groups recently who said they were also concerned by the use of scramblers and quads and the impacts it was having on wildlife in the area.
The local Municipal District today discussed the issues, with Councillors calling for something to be done to prevent dangerous driving and anti-social behaviour.
