The North's First Minister Arlene Foster is calling on the PSNI's Chief Constable to resign.
It's after it was revealed there will be no prosecutions in relation to the funeral of senior republican Bobby Storey in Belfast last June.
Around 2,000 mourners attended the funeral of Bobby Storey in Belfast last June - at a time when only 30 people were permitted.
The actions of 24 elected Sinn Féin representatives were examined, including those of Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill.
The Public Prosecution Service in the North has not recommended prosecution for anyone in relation to the funeral.
The North's First Minister Arlene Foster says engagement between the police and funeral organisers, as a factor in the decision not to prosecute is inexplicable
and she says the position of the PSNI Chief Constable Simon Byrne is untenable and is calling on him to resign.
Ms Foster wants an independent examination of all the events of June 30th.
Sinn Fein Leader Mary Lou McDonald also attended the funeral, but it's understood the police files being examined did not include anyone from the Republic.
