It's "business as usual" for a popular bus route that was recently disrupted due to roadworks in Castleblayney. The issue involving roadworks on York Street in Castleblayney was highlighted by Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher. The bus stop in question is used by bus Éireann for the Letterkenny to Dublin express and also the 182 bus which goes from Monaghan to Drogheda and back.
According to Senator Gallagher, due to roadworks people were standing at the bus stop at York Street but the bus was re-routed. Despite this, Senator Gallagher confirmed that the roadworks have since been completed and it's "business as usual" for people in Castleblayney who wish to get the Dublin bus at that spot. Senator Gallagher also complimented Monaghan County Council engineers and the contractor involved for getting the roadworks over the finish line.
