Bus Éireann services will operate to normal schedules until today, Saturday, 23 December

Teresa Hatchett, of Bailieborough has been recognised as the national Road Passenger Driver of the Year for 2023.

Deputy Smyth said it's not acceptable that people are left standing at bus stops for ages and ages.

Local woman Teresa Hatchett said it would be great to see more women on the job.

According to Bus Éireann, this award is testament to Teresa's professionalism and dedication to excellent customer service.

It's the taxpayer that is paying for this service through the Government's department.

The local mother believes a lack of urgency has been shown by Bus Éireann over the matter.

Many people who are 70 years or older are very fit and well capable of carrying out those jobs.
