Bus Éireann is to run an additional service via Monaghan form this weekend after complaints over a lack of capacity on the route.
Government guidelines have been blamed for the reduction in capacity on buses on the 32 route in recent months.
Passengers had complained about being left at stops in Monaghan because buses were full, with some having pre-booked their tickets.
Bus Éireann says an additional service will run between Letterkenny and Dublin from this Sunday with stops in Monaghan town and Lifford.
It will leave Letterkenny at 5.45pm and Dublin at 10.45pm.
The company earlier this week confirmed that all Monaghan passengers that book their tickets online will be guaranteed a seat on the service.
