Buildings in the region are lighting up gold from this evening to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Landmark buildings across the country will be taking part in the annual campaign which is run by the Childhood Cancer Foundation Ireland, beginning today and running until the 7th.
Due to the restrictions in place the organisation has suffered a loss of income with the cancellation of fundraisers and is now using this campaign to keep the children and organisation in people’s minds this year.
In Cavan the courthouse will light up, while the Civic Offices in Monaghan will also glow gold to mark the occasion.
The Childhood Cancer Foundation is encouraging people and groups to light up as many buildings as possible, with the opportunity open throughout the week.
