Budget 2024 is about putting money in people's pocket according to the Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show earlier today, Minister Humphreys pointed to the fact that someone living alone receiving the state pension would be 33 euro better off following the budget announcement.
The local minister also highlighted that a couple in receipt of the state pension would be better off by the tune of 48 euro following the 2.3 billion euro package revealed for the Department of Social Protection.
A number of lump sums will also be paid out in 2024, including a 300 euro fuel allowance payment.
Minister Humphreys says that a lot of people are going to benefit from the 6.4 billion euro package unveiled in the Dail yesterday afternoon.
