A man has been arrested in Co Monaghan following an incident of criminal damage. In a statement issued to Northern Sound, Gardaí received a report of an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at approximately 5:15am this morning, at a property in the Bridge Street area of Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
One man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with this incident. Investigations are ongoing at this time, while Gardaí await forensic investigators at the scene this morning.
