So divisive has fracking concerns become along the border, peace and reconciliation efforts are being hampered.
This is according to Diane Little who is co-ordinator and networker for groups on both sides of the border.
She assists with mobilising communities that are against fracking and petroleum licencing.
There are currently two licenses before the Stormont Executive amid growing concerns that if granted, fracking will have devastating impacts on the local communities.
New policy is in the making in Northern Ireland but Diane says that action is need for positive results.
