Booster vaccines have been approved for children aged between 12 and 15.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has accepted a recommendation from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee.
This age-group will be offered a Covid booster six months after their second jab - the same gap applies to those who have recovered.
