A Book of Condolence has been opened in garda stations across the Northern Sound region in memory of Detective Garda Colm Horkan.
He is the 89th member of an Garda Síochána to be killed in the line of duty.
The Book of Condolence has been opened in Cavan, Monaghan, Bailieborough, Carrickmacross and Castleblayney Garda Stations, which are all open 24 hours.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, it is asked the members of the public bring their own pen if possible and utilise the hand sanitizer provided.
It is intended that Books of Condolence from Garda Stations around the country will be presented Colm Horkan’s family.
