The Bishop of Kilmore is representing the Irish Catholic Bishops at COP26.
Bishop Martin Hayes says he is attending the summit on behalf of parishioner who are 'concerned about the environment', which is running until the 12th of this month.
Bishop Hayes says there is a responsibility on everyone to lift the voices of the most vulnerable in the world who are experiencing the effects of climate change.
He hopes that at COP26 he can advocate for policies on climate justice, attend civil society events, interfaith gatherings and prayer vigils which will take place around the conference.
