The Bishop of Clogher has made new diocesan appointments effective from today. The Diocese of Clogher encompasses all of County Monaghan, almost all of County Fermanagh, together with portions of Counties Tyrone, Donegal, Louth and Cavan. It has 37 parishes and 85 churches with a population of approximately 83,000.
Bishop of Clogher, the Reverend Larry Duffy has made eight changes including welcoming Fr Gabriel Dolan who will be curate in the Clones Pastoral area and Fr Peter Edson Tambula from Malawi to the diocese.
Other changes made by Bishop Duffy include appointing the Very Rev Canon Patrick McGinn to be parish priest of Ballybay, Latton and Rockcorry. Parish priest of Ballybay, Canon Owen J McEnaney, is now to be priest-in-residence in Carrickmacross. Meanwhile, Fr Leo Creelman, curate of Monaghan and Rackwallace, is to be administrator for Monaghan & Rackwallace, Tyholland and Kilmore & Drumsnatt.
Fr Humphrey Ude is to return as curate in Monaghan & Rackwallace as well as in Tyholland and Kilmore & Drumsnatt. Fr Kevin Connolly CC, Carrickmacross, to be CC in the Mid-Monaghan Pastoral Area and reside in Clontibret. Fr Kieran Danfulani CC in Ballybay is now appointed to be curate in the South-Monaghan Pastoral Area and will reside in Magheracloone. Fr Gabriel Dolan SPS, to be CC in the Clones Pastoral Area and reside in Aghadrumsee and Fr Peter Edson Tambula (Diocese of Chikwawa, Malawi) is now to be CC in Monaghan & Rackwallace as well as in Tyholland and Kilmore & Drumsnatt.
