Bishop Duffy has led to tributes to the late Fr.John Kearns.
Father Kearns passed after battling cancer yesterday morning and is being remembered as 'larger than life character'.
Fr John Kearn's journey towards priesthood began in the mid-1970s when he went to the SPS seminary in Wicklow.
After some time out from his studies in the 1980s he returned to the priesthood and was ordained in 1990 and spent several years in Zimbabwe.
In the late 1990s he returned to Ireland and to his native Diocese of Clogher ending up eventually in the Belleek-Garrison parish in north Fermanagh where he ministered until struck by illness.
Paying tribute to Father Kearns today Bishop Duffy said he had the honour of ministering with him for five years in Clones and saw at first hand his capacity to lift people's hearts and to engage with them in all walks of life and in all situations.
He is being remembered today for his love of motorcycles and was the co-founder and Chairperson of the Bikers Memorial - an annual Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Clones, that brings together families and friends of loved ones who have lost their lives in biking accidents.
Bishop Duffy says that on his behalf and on behalf of the clergy and Diocese of Clogher, he extends his sincere sympathy to his family, and parishioners.
The Funeral Mass for Fr John Kearns will be celebrated in St Michael's Church, Corcaghan tomorrow morning at 11am and will be livestreamed.
There is a wake at his brother's house in Corcaghan today and for both Covid health guidelines will be in place.]
