Bishop Larry Duffy has announced a number of diocesan appointments that will take effect from Friday, the 1st of September next. The Bishop has also welcomed priests from Nigeria, Kenya and Malawi who have agreed to come to serve in the Clogher Diocese.
The Very Rev Canon Ramon Munster Parish Priest in Bundoran/Ballyshannon is to retire and take a one-year sabbatical leave while Fr Michael Jordan CC in Killanny will become Parish Priest in Magheracloone.
Fr Humphrey Ude has been appointed CC in Monaghan & Rackwallace and in Tyholland, Kilmore and Drumsnat. Fr Jeremiah Munyoki will become CC in Bundoran/Ballyshannon while Fr Peter Edson Tambula has been appointed CC in the Carrickmacross Pastoral Area and resident in Inniskeen pro-tem.
Meanwhile, Fr Jonathan Malusi is the new CC in the Clones Pastoral Area and resident in Aghadrumsee while Fr Shadreck Malata will become CC Enniskillen pro-tem. Announcing the appointments, Bishop Duffy expressed his sincere thanks to Canon Munster for his many years of generous service to the people of Bundoran and St Joseph's, Ballyshannon and to the diocese generally.
He added that in "these challenging times" the service of the priests is appreciated all the more.
