Bird flu restrictions have been lifted in two restriction zones in Co Monaghan.
Out-going IFA Poultry Chair Andy Boylan says 2022 have provided “good news” so far as there have been no further bird flu outbreaks.
As a result, restrictions have been lifted in areas of south and mid-Monaghan that were under disease control measures.
While a restriction zone remains in north Monaghan in the Emyvale area, Andy Boylan says this will be lifted on the 25th of January if there are no further cases.
Speaking on The Wider View, the Carrickmacross farmer said biosecurity is “key” and explained more about the lifting of the restrictions:
