The 19th annual 'Gone But Not Forgotten' Bikers Memorial will take place this Friday, May the 5th in The Sacred Heart Church, Clones.
Each year, large crowds from across the country come together to remember those in the biking community who are no longer with us.
The Sacred Heart Church is set to again welcome Bikers' from all over Ireland and further afield to remember and celebrate the lives of Bikers sadly lost, but whose memory live long with their family and friends.
The memorial this year will be officiated at, for his second year, by Fr. Stephen Joyce. A regular at the memorial, Fr. Tony Conlan, will assist for his 10th year. The Rev Johnny McLoughlin, Church of Ireland, from Aghavea parish, Co. Fermanagh will be there for his first time. All three clergy men are keen bikers and so are going to feel right at home in Clones at 8pm on Friday May 5th next.
Brian MacUaid who is PRO of the Bikers Memorial committee says the carrying up of candles is a hugely important and symbolic part of this unique memorial.
Brian says that the local memorial has become a national event for loved ones to travel to Clones in memory of the ones that are no longer with us.
