The boil water notice in place for the Belturbet Public water Supply in County Cavan has been lifted. The notice was issued due to power outages caused by Storm Éowyn affecting the treatment processes at the water treatment plant and affected approximately 2,159 customers.
The BWN also affected those served by the Derryvoney Group Water Scheme.
"Drinking water experts from Uisce Éireann worked to lift the notice as quickly and as safely as possible," a statement from the utility company said. Following consultation with the HSE, Uisce Éireann have confirmed customers on this supply can now resume normal use of the public water supply.
