A Belfast law firm has lodged an application with the Attorney General seeking new inquests into the Belturbet Bombing.
15-year-old Geraldine O'Reilly and 16-year-old Patrick Stanley lost their lives in the 1972 bombing - nobody has ever been charged with their murders.
Kevin Winters, of KRW Law in Belfast, says the applications are "the first of a series of cases pending where we say the State has not conducted an independent inquiry into circumstances surrounding unresolved murder investigations".
Mr Winters added that he's "confident the submissions will be examined very carefully" and he hopes a decision will be issued later this year.
The submission to the Attorney General says a new inquest is required "to provide reassurance, by rebuilding public confidence after a major failure".
