Staff at the Bank of Ireland Ballybay branch have been praised for their 'professionalism' in the aftermath of the attempted ATM theft last weekend. As a result of the attack, the town was left without the function of its only ATM since Monday.
While councillor Seamus Coyle confirmed to Northern Sound that full services have since been restored from this afternoon at the local branch, he has also commended the efforts made by staff in dealing with the situation.
According to Cllr Coyle, the Branch has opened throughout lunch hours all week to allow customers the use of ATMs inside. He praised the efforts of staff who are made themselves available to assist all customers, at all times no matter what, particularly in the days leading up to Christmas.
