The Ballyjamesduff Playground is set to re-open in the coming weeks after a period of closure due to health and safety concerns.
The playground, at the Cavan County Museum, closured in March of last year because its rubber surface was lifting up.
Local councillor Trevor Smith says the Council sought funding for repairs, but faced "frustrating" delays due to supply issues.
However, new equipment has arrived and upgrade works will start next week, which are expected to take around two weeks to complete.
