The Ballyhaise weather station in County Cavan has had record breaking August warmth for the second day in a row.
The weather station was installed in 2003 and recorded a record high for the month of 27.4 degrees yesterday.
This surpasses Wednesday's temperature of 25.4 degrees, and the record is likely to be broken again over the weekend.
An all-time high temperature for August has been provisionally recorded in county Carlow.
Met Eireann says it's weather station at Oak Park recorded 31.7 degrees.
The record of 31.5 was set in 1975 and repeated in 1995.
A status yellow high temperature warning runs for the entire country until Monday.
