The Ballyhaise Weather Station broke its record temperature for August three days in a row during last week's heatwave.
The Co Cavan weather station was installed in 2003 and its previous record high for August of 24.3 degrees was hit last year.
However, that was equalled last Tuesday and then broken three days in a row.
On Wednesday, a new record of 25.4 degrees was set, but by Friday a new high of 27.5 was recorded.
This August high is also the sixth hottest temperature on record at the local weather station.
Meanwhile, the highest temperature on record at the Ballyhaise weather station is the 30.8 degrees that was hit last month.
